This post is so late now coz my son turned 2 years old last September 24 but I got really busy and wasn’t able to update this blog. I also have another blog that I made for my son, Starts at Two. At 2:00am today, DST started. We are now 14 hours behind from the Philippines. I felt weird about it coz we are an hour behind than what our usual time is. Though our clocks are adjusted to DST time but I still feeling kinda weird about it. Anyway, there’s a good news though coz we get to sleep an extra hour. hehe.
It’s been a while since I last posted on this blog. I felt really bad about it coz this blog is supposed to be my online journal for my new life here in the US. But I have been busy. Or maybe just feeling busy. I don’t know. I just can’t get a time to write a post here. But anyway, here it is. A post after a few months.
My birthday was already two weeks ago but Mom gave me a very nice gift today. It was not a surprised coz she already told me last Sunday that she is supposed to give me a gift but she was not able to wrap it yet coz she got very busy babysitting her other grandchildren. (more…)
Andy keeps asking me to make him his favorites cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies. It has been a while since he hadn’t had one eversince he found out that he has diabetes. Now, he wanted me to try making it using Splenda, artificial sugar. (more…)
I have been craving for leche flan so much but I don’t think I can make it since I don’t want to eat anything that Andy can’t it. If I would make something like it, I should used just a sweetener to substitute so that Andy can eat it too. (more…)
As a pinoy living in the states, I really am craving for pinoy foods, especially my father’s recipe of humba, lechon kawali, chopsuey, and sarciado. If you can’t taste these foods for a while, you will surely miss them, just like me.
American foods are usually dry, no sauces unless you make a separate one. Unlike with most of our dishes, there are some sauce that we can put on our rice for it to taste better. Yum yum! I really miss it. (more…)
Yesterday me and Yvonne went to her parents house to help make strawberry jam and grape jelly. It was my first time doing so and I was very excited.
We made a whole bunch of jam and jelly out of fresh strawberries and grapes. We also made some tomato jelly as requested by Dad. (more…)
I just had my 24th birthday last August 11, 2008 and it was my first birthday here in Texas. Last year, I remember during my birthday that I wished to celebrate my birthday with Andy and this year it came true. Being with Andy on my birthday this year had made it special and he made it more special. (more…)
